Hex Forend Screws

These Encore forend screws are sold in "pairs" only and are an exact replica of the Thompson factory slot head forend screws except they have a hex head utilizing a 1/8" key.  Hex head screws are generally more durable and easier to work with than slot head screws.  Hex head screws are not available for the Contender, Encore muzzle loader or shotgun forends.

When ordering please keep in mind that all Encore forends do not utilize the same screws.  The standard synthetic and walnut rifle & pistol forends use the longer screw in the rear hole and the shorter screw in the front hole.  The Pro Hunter rifle forends use the longer screw in both front and rear holes.  Be certain to order the correct screw set for you particuliar forend(s).  Also, these screw sets do not include the factory washers required.  These washers are expensive and it is best to use your existing slot head screw washers with these replacement screws unless the washers have become lost or damaged.  If you need washers with the screws they can be purchased seperately.

These screws are strictly for replacing the factory slot head screws in factory or factory style forends.  They are not used in any way with the hanger bar system.  The hanger bar system utilizes totally different screws to attach the converted forend to the hanger bar.
