The
rifle assist sling
is a seperate sling strap intended to be used in conunction with your standard rifle sling. It's function is to keep your rifle centered in your back making a
no hands
carry possible. Being able to have both hands free while hiking is a real plus for comfort. It is also extremely helpful when the going gets rough. This assist sling is also equipped with a quick release buckle directly under the arm arm as shown in picture 2. Squeeze the QD buckle release and the sling instantly falls away from your shoulder leaving your rifle in the standard sling position for fast access.
