Forend Conversions

When doing a forend conversion it is critical that I have the correct demensions of your barrel. Different barrel contours
require different demensioned hanger bars to make the forend sit flat on the barrel. When you order a conversion I need to know the barrel length, who manufactured the barrel, the contour (sporter, varmit, full bull, etc.), and the exact muzzle
diameter on tapered barrels. On full bull barrels the muzzle diameter is obvious. It isn't a necessity, but if you can part with the barrel in question and send it in along with your forend long enough for the conversion to be done that is the most foolproof method to make sure . I can make certain everything fits correctly and that the barrel is floating before I send it back. If that isn't possible I have "fitting" barrels here in the most common contours that I use.

Hanger bar conversions are available for factory Encore and Contender rifle barrel forends only. Handgun barrel forends are too short to allow the hanger bar to be installed. Pillar bedding (shown below) is the best option for factory handgun forends. The hanger bar system is not applicable to Muzzle loader or shotgun barrels.

The $65.00 cost is for the conversion process only on your supplied forend. I can supply the forend for you and do the conversion prior to shipping if you prefer. Standard factory black synthetic Encore rifle forends are $32.00. Black Pro Hunters are $38.00.  Camo synthetics (Pro Hunter or std) are $60.00. Walnut forends are $55.00. Factory black synthetic Contender super 16 forends are $25.00, walnut are $40.00.
